If you have been in business for a while, you know how important it is to choose the right structure for your venture.. Your goal should be to think long-term, and at the same time protect yourself against lawsuits and other liabilities. There are many business-structures to choose from, but some come more legal requirements while others provide you with less flexibility to grow your business.

Limited liability companies are great for small business and start-ups. They are very easy to form, and you won't have to worry about too much paperwork (depending on your state). In some states, you don't even have to file an annual report. LLC protects your personal assets. Whether you are a blogger or own a small shop, you could always get into financial trouble. Wouldn't it be nice if your personal assets were off-limits? As long as you keep your LLC compliant, you won't have to worry about losing your personal assets if you are sued.

Forming your LLC allows you to register and protect your business name as well. That option is not available to a sole proprietor. You can also have unlimited members, which gives you the flexibility to expand your business when you need to. Best of all, the owners don't have to be U.S. citizens or even residents.

Hi
Im 41 years old, in essex and "dabble" in web design running a few sites for the company I work for, as well as a few of my own.

I have basic html knowledge, and basically have good contacts in many forms of image manipulation, coding, flash etc - so always manage to "get the job done" to a high standard for a good price by outsourcing the work and then make a modest income as a yearly charge for the hosting and maintaining image and text updates etc..

Im in essex - so close by - and looking for another income to compliment my current job - not looking for mega-bucks just a modest pocket money to fund our annual holiday.

I work extremely hard for what I have - starting work at 5am daily, and am at this damned machine most of the day - most days!

Im not sure we have what each other has looking for as the webdesign business is flooded - but if you think we may have something - drop me a line

Business Partner Wanted!?
I am Seeking a business partner. I am a website developer currently running a small business from home and I am hoping on expanding the business.I would like to know how I could get a business partner that meets these requirements

I am looking for someone who is interested in the website development industry and is interested in partnering with someone to run a business of their own.

Your work portfolio if possible

Some one Based in the United Kingdom (Preferably in london)

I am looking for an exceptional marketing consultant(probably Marketing) or a director or an entrepreneur or a fellow website developer/designer to come on board and work with me as a partner.

Someone who loves challenges and is ready to work hard to build up the business with me. Please drop me a few note and I would tell you more about myself and my portfolio of work.

There are many ways you can make money from the internet. First of all, you have to decide which way you want to go. Just to name a few:

1) Develop and sell your own product.
2) Affiliate Marketing
3) Blogging.
4) Membership Sites.
5) Ebay.

In any internet business, there are 2 main things you need to do. Traffic generation and traffic conversion.

Now, for each, there are many things you need to learn. For example:

Traffic Generation
1) Search Engine Optimization
2) Pay per click advertising
3) Press release
4) Article marketing
5) Banner advertising

Traffic Conversion
1) Copywriting
2) Email marketing

On top of that, you still have the technical stuff you need to learn or outsource:

1) Webhosting
2) Building website, etc.

For a beginner, it will easier to start off learning about traffic generation methods and try out affiliate marketing. If you want to start your own website, always remember that content is king.

Provide good content and half your work is done.
References :
http://www.martinleeaffiliatemarketing.com

Fiurst you need to learn internet marketing. There are different techniques used to market a web site. Here are some popular techniques:
1. SEO - creating tons of content so that it comes up in search engines searches
2. PPC - buying text links on Google for certain keywords
3. Email marketing - creating an opt-in email list to constantly communicate with customers
4. Word of mouth marketing - this is hard
Some lesser popular techniques are: MySpace marketing, offline marketing (using bumper stickers for your car, etc), video tutorials on youtube, affiliate marketing, eBooks.
If you want good tutorials on SEO and internet marketing in general http://www.webpageblueprint.com has nice tutorials.

Since you don't have a web site to begin with you will need to understand that marketing is only part of the equation of creating a web business. http://www.webpageblueprint.com breaks down the requirements to creating a web site into 6 different categories and has information about each one.

1. Planning - web site ideas, domains, monetization
2. Coding - HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL
3. Creating - design, layout, graphics, fonts
4. Content - types of content, forum software
5. Marketing - Pay-per-click, SEO, offline marketing
6. Operating - running the site, dealing with problems"
References :
I would probably take a look at the Chartered Institute of Marketing site and possibly take one of thier courses. If you want to land an interview don't just send in paper CV.

For example I know someone who made a wine bottle into a CV. You need to be quirky & creative to stand out from the rest of the crowd. This will probably land you an interview but getting the job without a qualification might be hard but not impossible.
References :
I work in Marketing.
